Rooted pt. 7 - Family

God gave us family as a way to show us His relationship and covenant with us as well as the relationship between Christ and the church. How can we as a family honour God?

Rooted pt 6

Where does your identity come from? Are you living as one who is saved by grace, doing the Word of God or are you struggling to stop identifying with your sin? For Christ followers, our identity must come from Him which calls us to pursue and reflect righteousness and holiness in our lives and to do that, we must address the sin in our life - unapologetically and aggressively. 

Rooted pt. 5 Discipleship

We are called to be more than just people who listen to the word, but we are called instead to be doers of the word. In the Great Commission, Jesus commands us to make disciples and teach them to obey all that Jesus has commanded. When we make the shift from being a student of the word to a disciple of Christ, we begin moving powerfully in the world; seeing lives transformed.

Rooted pt 4

This episode briefly touches on topics of a more mature nature. Discretion is advised.
 
In our world, it can be difficult to discern what is truth and what is fiction. Understanding that Satan is the father of lies and Jesus is the truth helps us to see what is objectively true and remain rooted in that truth.

In this message, we are talking about being Rooted in Prayer. We often don't know what to pray for - and that's where the Holy Spirit helps us by interceding on our behalf. We are called to be a people rooted in prayer.

This service, Pastor James talks about the importance of being Rooted in Perseverance. Resisting temptation is a difficult task - the devil doesn't always flee right away. We need to develop perseverance by seeing temptations not as a failure, but as an opportunity for our faith to go to work. Rooted, part 1

Father's Day is the perfect time to look at what it means to be rooted in Christ. We cannot be who we are called to be as men if we do not have strong roots that keep us firm and stable through all that comes. Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!

Pentecost - The moment where the Holy Spirit is poured out over all flesh, inaugurating both the Church Age and the Last Days. We know that God chooses us to receive the Holy Spirit, but the question is why? Why give us so great a gift as the indwelling of the Holy Spirit when we are just so...messy? Given the splendour of the Old Testament temples, sometimes it feels like we don't quite measure up, but it is our broken places that God uses to show His perfect love, grace and power to a hurting and darkened world.

Scattered by Pride

All of us struggle with pride at times. We can think a little too highly of ourselves which leads to all sorts of problems. Pride causes us to mistreat others, say foolish things, and worst, pride deceives us into believing we are greater than God. Where pride scatters, grace draws us in. That's the joy of Pentecost and the beauty of our God. His grace is enough for us and by his grace, we are collected and unified as one body for His glory. Thanks for listening!

Easter Sunday 2025

He is Risen! Easter reminds us that Christ has conquered the grave and given us a sure victory over death itself. He is the Risen Christ, the Lamb of God who takes away our sin and we give him all honour and praise for He is worthy. Thank you for listening today!
